OTR is responsible for the service delivery process, included, but not limited to patient screenings, assessment, and evaluation process. Implements occupational therapy treatment plans. OTR regularly collaborates with other disciplines and services and is expected to independently review outcomes and modify intervention programs. Clinical reasoning and professional judgment are essential for ensuring the safety of patients and protecting liability of the patient and the therapist. Direct supervision when not prohibited by current license restrictions, may be exercised over support personnel, such as occupational therapy assistant and clerical staff. Maintains a safe and orderly operating business and maintains equipment as assigned. Participates in educational, research, and quality improvements projects.
