The OT provides daily treatment to promote functional independence and modifies treatment programs. Performs documentation in EHR. Coordinates/communicates with interdisciplinary team. Participates in program improvement, clinical education, and customer service standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy PLUS two (2) years of experience in Occupational Therapy OR Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Certified by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or eligible to apply for the examination
  • Current Arkansas Occupational Therapy License or eligible to obtain license within one (1) month of date of hire
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Performs comprehensive examination of patients using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and formulates an individualized plan of care.
  • Provides evidence-based quality patient treatment and education, and monitors patients for physiological status during sessions.
  • Responsive to needs/requests outside of direct patient care. May include serving as a Clinical Instructor, providing presentations, serving on committees/teams, performing program development/projects, developing educational materials, providing education to coworkers after attending continuing education that was supported by travel or educational leave, etc.
  • Completes accurate and thorough documentation promptly following regulatory policies.
  • Submits accurate and complete charges and daily summary sheets.
  • Consistently meets departmental productivity targets.
  • Adheres to UAMS/Department policy for attendance. Reports for all scheduled shifts on time and completes shift duties.
