About The Position

The Occupational Therapist has the skills to provide modalities and procedures in accordance with Departmental Policies and Procedures. The Therapist has the ability to assess and interpret data about the patient and provide the care to meet the needs of the patient. The Therapist is capable of meeting the acute needs of Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.

Requirements

• At least 1+ years of Inpatient Occupational Therapy experience preferred
• Current BCLS-C Certification
• Current California License

Responsibilities

• Provides input to improve department operations, equipment and supply needs.
• Demonstrates a positive influence and recognizes the efforts of others.
• Demonstrate the ability to assess patients, develop an appropriate care plan.
• Performs patient/family education and documents in the clinical map.
• Reviews the medical chart and assess patient’s medical status prior to initiation.
• Able to appropriately choose and instruct patients in adaptive equipment.
• Produces documentation to support the delivery of Occupational Therapy.
• Be at work and be on time.
• Follow company policies, procedures and directives.
• Interact in a positive and constructive manner.
• Prioritize and multitask.
