About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a qualified and compassionate School-Based Occupational Therapist to support students across two school sites in Thornton, Colorado. This role is primarily based in an elementary school setting , with limited indirect services provided at a nearby high school. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule and an opportunity to positively impact students’ academic performance, functional skills, and overall development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Colorado Occupational Therapist license
• School Special Services Provider (SSP) license from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE)
• Must be active and in hand at time of submission
• Prior school-based OT experience preferred
• Pediatric experience required
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services aligned with student IEP goals
• Support approximately 40 elementary students (Pre-K–5th grade) through primarily direct services
• Deliver indirect OT services to approximately 10 high school students
• Conduct evaluations, assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, administrators, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school district and state guidelines
