Hedrick Medical is looking for an OT to join their team. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate or screen clients after impairment, injury, or disease, and will plan, design, and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment programs after referral from a physician. Interventions may include therapeutic exercise, functional retraining, use of thermal and electric modalities, splinting, and various other training and retraining skills. The OT will periodically reevaluate clients to determine the effectiveness of interventions and contribute to discharge planning. Additionally, the OT will supervise treatment provided by students, technicians, or assistants, recommend client care interventions to other members of the healthcare team, delegate and instruct supportive personnel, and perform other duties as requested by the manager. The position may also involve serving as a clinical resource or coordinating the student program.
