About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based services that support students’ functional, academic, and social success. The OT will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate closely with educators and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student participation and independence within the educational environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active or eligible California Occupational Therapist license
  • Experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings
  • Strong understanding of pediatric development and sensory integration
  • Knowledge of school-based OT practices and IEP processes
  • Familiarity with IDEA regulations
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Prior school-based occupational therapy experience
  • Experience with adaptive equipment, AAC, and assistive technology
  • Ability to tailor therapy strategies to diverse learning and functional needs
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities
  • Assess needs related to sensory processing, motor coordination, self-care, and adaptive skills
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Deliver therapy services in individual, small-group, and classroom-based settings
  • Participate in IEP meetings, goal development, and progress monitoring
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
  • Provide consultation and guidance to staff and families to support student success
  • Promote safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent conferences
