Job Summary Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establishes a plan of care. Provides therapeutic interventions appropriate to the age and disability of the patient. Documents delivery of Occupational Therapy services. Educates patients, family, caregivers, significant others, and staff members. Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel. Promotes physical rehabilitation services through community/system based education activities, marketing opportunities, and support groups. Accepts the role of a Clinical Instructor to supervise/educate students from accredited occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant programs. Participates in planning for the provision of patient care services. Provides staff in-service upon returning from continuing education or professional conferences.
