As an Occupational Therapist, you will be a leader in the rehabilitation department: Personalized Care: Develop evidence-based treatment plans and secure physician approvals to help residents regain their independence in activities of daily living (ADLs). Clinical Leadership: Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and assist the nursing department in training Restorative Aides. Multidisciplinary Integration: Participate in Patient Care Conferences, Utilization Reviews, and Rehabilitation meetings to coordinate holistic care. Expert Documentation: Maintain precise evaluations, daily notes, and recertification records in compliance with the OT Board and third-party payer requirements. Empowering Discharge: Facilitate safe transitions by providing caregiver training and recommending essential durable medical equipment (walkers, braces, adaptive tools). Stewardship: Ensure all department equipment is maintained and functional to provide the highest level of care. Requirements

  • A current and valid California Occupational Therapist (OT) License.
  • A compassionate, resident-focused approach to therapy.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a clinical team.
