The Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating residents, communicating effectively with families, physicians, and other healthcare team members, and maintaining accurate documentation of services in the medical records. This role also involves conducting in-services and training for facility staff on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to residents, aiming for optimal recovery and enhanced quality of life.
  • Collaborate with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment services in compliance with facility policies and regulations.
  • Conduct staff training and in-service sessions to enhance the team's knowledge and skills in occupational therapy practices.
  • Stay updated on best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
