Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop effective, individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the referring physician.
• Implement treatment plans to help residents develop or regain skills for daily living, including mobility, fine motor coordination, and cognitive abilities.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, evaluations, and certifications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Instruct patients, families, and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiving techniques to ensure a smooth transition during discharge.
• Recommend and facilitate the ordering of durable medical equipment, such as braces, walkers, and adaptive aids, to enhance patient independence.
• Participate in in-service training programs to share your expertise and support the continuous development of our facility's staff.
