About The Position

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Gainesville, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a large acute care hospital helping patients regain independence and improve quality of life.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Occupational Therapist evaluates patient functional abilities, develops individualized treatment plans, and delivers therapeutic interventions to restore independence. This role collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida required
• 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred
• Open to new graduates with strong clinical training
• Experience in acute care or inpatient setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient functional status and therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide hands-on therapy to improve mobility and independence
• Educate patients and families on treatment goals and progress
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
• Utilize evidence-based practices to support recovery
