About The Position

The Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide skilled occupational therapy services to individuals with physical, developmental, or emotional impairments. The role is part-time or PRN, offering flexibility in working hours based on patient needs. The OT will work under the supervision of the clinical director or designated healthcare supervisor to help patients achieve optimal functional independence.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist
  • CPR Certification
  • Current Texas Driver's License
  • Car Insurance & registration

  • Recent work experience in Home Health
  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Assess and Evaluate: Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, focusing on mobility, strength, safety, and ADLs.
  • Therapeutic Intervention: Provide direct care, address occupational performance, and modify treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Documentation and Collaboration: Complete progress notes, discharge summaries, and communicate with physicians and the healthcare team.
  • Supervision and Education: Guide occupational therapy assistants and educate patients and caregivers on rehabilitation and safety.
  • Compliance and Continuing Education: Follow infection control protocols, meet education requirements, and ensure compliance with regulations and payers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
