This position is located at our University Crossing location, Joint Commission certified, three-story, 82,000 square-foot facility with 111 beds, serving patients with both short and long-term rehabilitation needs. Position Summary: A Staff Occupational Therapist is a registered therapist who, under general supervision, is responsible for therapeutic management of a specific caseload of patients from admission through discharge via evaluation, treatment planning and implementation.
Requirements
- Current OT license in state of Florida
- Current hands-on CPR/BLS Certification
- Experience preferred, will consider a new grad
- Knowledge of federal and state professional requirements
Nice To Haves
- Ability to prescribe, fit, and fabricate orthoses as needed preferred
Responsibilities
- Complete the new patient evaluation, establish customized treatment plans and patient goals, and participate in the implementation of patient care programs
- Deliver and manage high quality patient care for multiple diagnoses
- Maintain a positive patient experience through patient engagement and progressive treatment
- Effectively communicate skills both verbally and in writing
- Promote evidence based patient care
