Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current, unrestricted Florida OT license.
  • Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with care standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Compassionate communicator with outstanding organization and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ensure confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and reposition patients safely.
  • Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and twisting for extended periods.
  • Strong visual and hearing acuity.
  • Able to respond effectively to emergency situations both physically and mentally.
  • Function comfortably in a variety of center-based environments.
  • May involve exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive space for every child and family.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of recent experience in acute care or rehabilitation .
  • Pediatric experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician.
  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify therapy needs, goals, and expected outcomes.
  • Developing and implementing a personalized Plan of Care , coordinating with nurses and healthcare staff.
  • Administering therapeutic techniques to meet developmental and functional goals.
  • Maintaining open communication with families, team members, and physicians to ensure quality, consistent care.
  • Ensuring patient safety and adherence to best practices.
  • Acting as a resource and mentor for clinical staff.
  • Supervising COTAs and HHAs as required.
  • Participating in case conferences, in-services, and team meetings to support collaborative care.
