Position: Full Time Occupational Therapist (OT) Take advantage of our $2,500 sign on bonus! Primary Job Responsibilities: To provide quality Occupational therapy services and initiates referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards. To evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation and conduct specialized evaluations as indicated. To supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in the implementation of the treatment plan. Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use Guide and educate family members and caregivers Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as occupational therapist
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
  • Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools ( e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale)
  • Valid license to practice occupational therapy
  • BS degree or greater in occupational therapy

Responsibilities
