More about our team Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston is the flagship facility of Central Maine Healthcare. CMMC is a 250-bed, not-for-profit, Level III Trauma Center, offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to the people of central Maine. CMMC provides 24-hour emergency care, and medically supervised orthopedic rehabilitation programs. Our rehabilitation facilities are part of our all-in-one, single floor orthopedics unit designed to support the initial states of recovery, helping patients get back home and get moving again sooner. Central Maine Healthcare covers all of patients physical and mental health needs. How you'll contribute The Occupational Therapist (OT) in the acute hospital rehabilitation unit is responsible for evaluating patients with acute illness, injury, or post-surgical conditions and developing individualized treatment plans to restore functional abilities and promote safe independence in daily activities. The OT provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions, collaborates closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, and educates patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies and equipment to support recovery and discharge planning. This role requires timely and accurate documentation, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and a patient-centered approach to care in a fast-paced acute care environment. Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Occupational Therapist License in State
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English

Nice To Haves

  • Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
  • additional languages preferred
