About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) - Outpatient for a 13-week travel assignment in Alpena, MI. Assignment: Days, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, 10; 40 Hour Guarantee Start Date: 3/16/2026 Contract: 13 weeks Location: Alpena, MI Weekend Requirements: One Weekend Per Month (Saturday) Traveler Policy: Facility will consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction, for ONLY 1-13week contract Dress Code: Business Casual ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer / Please obtain this information prior to submittal / Requests after offer can be cause for rescinded offer) This position delegates responsibility to the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Aides. Activities of this position are patient-focused and utilize assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with occupational therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • OT Experience is required
  • Pediatric Experience is required
  • Primarily outpatient, with some acute care
  • BLS (AHA) is required
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

  • (20%) Evaluates the patient’s function by performing formal/informal testing measures to determine the skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular status, developmental, social, and cognitive functions.
  • (20%) Develops a goal-specific treatment regimen based on assessment data and the patient’s tolerance to carry out the treatment plan as prescribed.
  • (20%) Submits a written treatment regime to be included as part of the plan of treatment authorized by and coordinated with the physician. Updates plan of care as needed to reflect changes in patient status. Co-signs verbal orders received by the occupational therapist assistant as necessary.
  • (20%) Devises a schedule of treatment, which is frequency and duration specific, to be discussed with patient/family/caregiver and coordinated with clinical support staff.
  • (20%) Educates patient, family, and/or caregiver regarding pathology or condition, patient alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment through forms of rest, exercise, modalities, and other indicated interventions. Provides supervision for Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students per affiliate and regulatory standards.
