Requirements

  • Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.
  • AZ state licensure for Occupational Therapy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient’s ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills.
  • Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
  • Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
  • Document subjective and objective findings of the patient’s progress.
  • Monitor and modify the plan of care as needed.
  • Seek consultation if necessary.
  • Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
  • Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
  • Provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
  • Supervise and delegate the care provided by certified occupational therapist and therapy technician according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
