Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista. Growth and advancing technology dictated building our new 177,000 square foot hospital at 5700 E Hwy 90 completed in 2015. How you’ll contribute The Occupational Therapist (OT) evaluates patients and develops individualized treatment plans to enhance functional independence across acute hospital, acute rehabilitation, inpatient, medical–surgical, and outpatient environments. This role delivers therapeutic interventions that support the performance of daily living activities, promotes safety, and maximizes patient participation in meaningful routines. The OT collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team, educates patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies and equipment use, and ensures timely, accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards. The therapist maintains a safe treatment environment, demonstrates strong communication and clinical reasoning skills, and performs other duties as assigned to support high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current Occupational Therapy (OT) license in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support certification is required

Nice To Haves

  • Rehab or acute care experience preferred
