About The Position

Requirements

• Must hold a valid, current license in the State in which they are practicing.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Eligibility to take or has passed the examination for Occupational Therapists administered by the NBCOT.
• Successful completion of the National Registry Examination.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.
• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement and patient/family education.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT/COTA students.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitor patient's response to treatment and modify treatment as needed during sessions.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
