About The Position

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, part of Select Medical, is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for our inpatient rehabilitation hospital located in West Orange, NJ. Our facility is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges due to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Certified BLS.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patient's needs and physician direction.
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs to facilitate an effective return to community activities.
• Educate patients, families, students, co-workers, and self.
• Perform other professional duties related to patient care, development of therapy services, and program delivery.
• Establish appropriate treatment goals and treatment programs for assigned patients.
• Participate in discharge planning, including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment.
