About The Position

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide professional, goal-oriented center-based therapy services to pediatric clients. Our Pediatric Day Health Care Centers are bright, fun places designed especially for children with complex medical needs. We provide a safe, caring environment for children up to age eight to receive skilled nursing care and therapies while playing and interacting with their peers. We are currently hiring a Occupational Therapist to join our incredible team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our kiddos. Requirements

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with care policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• One year of recent experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care setting.
• Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by the physician.
• Conduct comprehensive written evaluations to define therapy needs, goals, and expected outcomes.
• Develop and implement a written Plan of Care, coordinating with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to ensure continuous care.
• Administer appropriate therapy techniques according to identified goals and treatment programs.
• Maintain effective communication between staff, healthcare team members, and families.
• Ensure patient safety through diligent administration of care.
• Serve as a resource consultant for clinical staff.
• Provide written evaluations and progress updates to physicians and Aveanna as required.
• Participate in in-services and case conferences as necessary.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) when required.
