The Lead Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services to all patients including evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, education and documentation. Works with patients to help them achieve a fulfilled and satisfied state in life through the use of purposeful activity or interventions designed to achieve occupational outcomes which promote health, prevent injury or disability to develop, improve, sustain or restore the highest possible level of independence. Provides oversight and serve as point person for the clinical staff in their discipline. Participates in the hiring process and provide orientation for new hires. GENERAL DUTIES Onboarding and Training of new staff: - Assists with clinical educational requirements for staff, including completion of hospital defined competencies. - Assists Manager with completion of clinical competency in specific discipline. Coordinate Volunteers for area: - Establishes and maintains volunteer schedules in the area of practice. Coordinate supplies and ordering for area: - Coordinates ordering of supplies, forms, test materials with designated person to complete orders. Patient Care: - Chooses appropriate forms of evaluation. - Interprets evaluation findings. - Sets goals according to findings and patient input. Implementation of treatment plan: - Develops a treatment plan that is appropriate for the diagnosis and population of the patient. - Implements treatment plan with appropriate modifications as needed. - Re-assesses, revises goals and treatment plan as indicated by patient's status. Clinical Resource for Department: - Stays abreast with professional trends, maintains growth and licensure. - Acts as go to person for discipline or area specific general questions.   • 2 years of experience Occupational therapy (CHNOLA)
  • Bachelor's Degree OT (CHNOLA)
  • Doctoral Degree OT (CHNOLA)
  • Master's Degree OT (CHNOLA)
