About The Position

The Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in helping patients regain independence and improve quality of life. This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized rehabilitative programs that enhance vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills for individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Through expert assessment, compassionate care, and clear communication, the therapist fosters confidence and collaboration among patients, families, and the healthcare team. The role ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining the highest standards of safety, privacy, and clinical excellence. In addition to direct patient care, the Occupational Therapist provides clinical supervision to assistants and aides and serves as a mentor and instructor for assigned students, supporting the next generation of rehabilitation professionals.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited occupational therapy program
  • OT-Occupational Therapist OR OLP-Occupational Limited Permit
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • DL-Valid Drivers License (Home Health)
  • INS-Auto Insurance (Home Health)
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience
  • Critical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements
  • Must be able to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements
  • Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies
  • Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities
  • Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills
  • Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement
