About The Position

UPMC Home Health is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide services in the Cranberry, Mars, Wexford, Gibsonia, Butler, and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering occupational therapy to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal patient care, and participating in process improvement initiatives within the home health agency. The position requires adherence to compliance training and documentation standards, as well as collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient satisfaction and functional independence.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy curriculum or eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Two years of appropriate experience as an occupational therapist, with satisfactory proficiency examination results if applicable.
• One year of Occupational Therapy experience to practice without supervision, or less than one year if practicing under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Attend compliance training and adhere to the organization standards of conduct, policies and procedures.
• Focus on customer service and strive for optimal patient satisfaction.
• Identify, develop, and participate in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency.
• Perform duties in alignment with UPMC Home Healthcare's service management philosophy.
• Continually develop professional skills through ongoing education.
• Assign and supervise the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Advise and consult with families, team members, physicians, and other professionals for optimal patient care.
• Maintain and complete all documentation promptly and accurately, including visit assessments and regulatory standards.
• Provide occupational therapy services and develop treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians.
• Evaluate, plan, and treat patients effectively within the Occupational Therapy Program.
