About The Position

The Occupational Therapist – Home Health Care/Hospice plans, interprets, and implements specific occupational therapy treatment programs for patients on the Home Health Care/Hospice caseload. This individual is responsible for accurate record keeping, documentation of the duties completed and notification to the Registered Nurse Case Manager, Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor, or appropriate team member of any change in status observed on a visit to a patient. The Occupational Therapist – Home Health Care/Hospice will select methods or strategies to direct the process of interventions, evaluate factors affecting activities of daily living and implements interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living. The Occupational Therapist – Home Health Care/Hospice performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems’ mission, policies and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.
  • Supervised clinical internship(s) working with adult and/or pediatric populations to prepare for professional registration.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
  • Occupational Therapist license awarded by the State of Wisconsin.
  • Valid State of Wisconsin Driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy.
  • Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
