About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapist to join our team in a shared role across our Seffner and Brandon (Oakfield) outpatient centers. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of upper extremity conditions, including tendon injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative fractures, and more. Splinting experience is preferred. We welcome new graduates with Level II fieldwork experience in hand therapy as well as seasoned clinicians. CHT credential is preferred but not required. As part of our dynamic Hand Therapy program, you’ll collaborate closely with highly regarded hand surgeons and experienced therapists. Our centers offer strong clinical resources, evidence-based treatment pathways, and structured mentorship to support your development, including preparation for the CHT exam. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Active national registration and state licensure (required at the start of employment)
  • Current CPR certification Valid state driver’s license
  • Open to new graduates with Level II fieldwork experience in hand therapy or experienced Occupational Therapists with at least one year of current hand therapy experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
  • Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
  • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
