About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a PRN Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). Requirements

  • Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
  • CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Certified hand therapist (CHT)
  • At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
  • Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
  • Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
  • Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
  • Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
