About The Position

Our outpatient orthopedic team is seeking an occupational therapist to join us in providing quality patient care. Hand experience required, 1+ years of OP experience required. Join our team treating various upper extremity disorders ranging from tendon injuries, sprain, strains, post-operative fractures, etc. Splinting experience preferred. Best practices and evidence-based programs are utilized for individualized patient care. Our locations are fully equipped to provide care to patients ranging from post surgical, non-operative to work conditioning. You will have the opportunity to work closely with excellent hand surgeons. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy
  • State Occupational Therapist license (or license eligible)
  • Minimum 1 years hand therapy experience.
  • CPR certification
  • Valid state driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Splinting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
  • Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
  • Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
  • Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.
  • Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
  • Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.
