About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic centers located in Goose Creek and West Ashley, SC. This position is PRN (as needed) and primarily focused on providing high-quality hand therapy services to our patients. The ideal candidate will be a certified hand therapist (CHT), although we are open to considering occupational therapists with relevant experience in hand therapy who can work independently. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a nationally supported mentorship program for therapists interested in pursuing their CHT credentials, with experienced therapists having the chance to become mentors themselves. In addition to hands-on patient care, the position includes participation in various educational and professional development activities. Our education department offers resources such as the National UE symposium, National journal club, and a National CHT study group, along with free local continuing education units (CEUs) and webinar training programs. There are also opportunities for additional certification courses available for Upper Extremity Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT). The hand therapy clinics are fully equipped, providing a wide range of treatment options, and therapists will have the chance to observe in physician clinics and engage in contracted positions within those settings. As part of our commitment to professional growth, we encourage participation in research activities and teaching internal courses on both a national and local level, contributing to the overall educational landscape of our organization. This position is not only about providing therapy but also about being part of a collaborative team that values continuous learning and improvement in patient care.
