About The Position

Our San Rafael, CA Hand Therapy location is looking for a dynamic outpatient occupational therapist that has experience with treating a hand/elbow case load. You will have the opportunity to work directly alongside a CHT in this Hand Specialty clinic. We are looking for per diem coverage with a flexible schedule to meet your needs. Requirements

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 1 year experience in hands.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic.
• Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
• Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
