About The Position
Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist Location: Time split between two locations, Cumming, GA and Roswell, GA Physio is seeking a Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We h ave a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT. Requirements
- Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
- CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
- Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
- Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
- Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
- Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
- Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
