Job Summary: Performs initial evaluations, develops treatment plans and sets appropriate goals to assist patients in achieving their maximum functional level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy, or related area as required to obtain licensure in state of practice
  • Three years' experience
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment.
  • Illinois Occupational Therapist - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) And Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) - Hand Therapy Certification Commission
  • Occupational Therapist - Missouri Division of Professional Registration And Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) - Hand Therapy Certification Commission
  • Occupational Therapist - Oklahoma Medical Board And Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) - Hand Therapy Certification Commission
  • Occupational Therapist (OT) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services And Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) - Hand Therapy Certification Commission

Responsibilities

  • Administers and evaluates tests of musculoskeletal, neurological and physiological responses to determine functioning.
  • Develops appropriate treatment plans based on an patient evaluation.
  • Designs and fabricates orthotics and adaptive equipment.
  • Initiates and performs treatments through the use of exercise, manual therapy, physical agents and rehabilitation.
  • Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
  • Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
