About The Position

Jawonio is seeking a qualified and professional Occupational Therapist (OT) to conduct Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) evaluations for our special needs preschool program located in New City, New York. This position plays an essential role in identifying developmental needs and ensuring that families receive accurate, comprehensive assessments for their children.

Requirements

• Valid New York State Occupational Therapist License (required).
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in early childhood, pediatrics, or CPSE evaluations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct CPSE occupational therapy evaluations for children ages 3–5 in accordance with NYS regulations.
• Provide thorough, objective assessments using standardized tools and clinical expertise.
• Prepare detailed, professionally written reports within required timelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary evaluation team members, educators, and families.
• Maintain the highest standards of clinical integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
