Requirements

  • Current OTA licensure in the state of Oregon.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

  • Experience in home health care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy to patients in their homes to restore them to their fullest physical ability.
  • Follow all state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care.
  • Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
  • Observe, record, and report to the supervising OT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition.
  • Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.
  • Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in the areas of therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
