About The Position
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Reports To Occupational Therapist / Director of Rehabilitation Job Summary Provides OT services under supervision of a licensed OT. Assists patients in regaining daily living and independence.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree from accredited OTA program.
- Current state license.
- An Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
- A current state license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is required and must be maintained.
Nice To Haves
- Experience preferred.
- Previous experience in occupational therapy or rehabilitation is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carry out OT treatment plans.
- Instruct patients in adaptive equipment and self-care.
- Document services and report progress to OT.
- Collaborate with therapy and nursing staff.
