Occupational Therapist Assistant PRN
About The Position
The Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) PRN plays a vital role in supporting occupational therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to patients across various settings. This position focuses on assisting patients in developing, recovering, and improving the skills needed for daily living and working, under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. The OTA PRN will work on a flexible, as-needed basis, providing therapeutic interventions tailored to individual patient goals and needs. The role requires close collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and effective treatment outcomes. Ultimately, the OTA PRN contributes to enhancing patients' independence and quality of life through compassionate and evidence-based therapeutic support.
Requirements
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License
- Home health or skilled nursing facility experience preferred
- CPR certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Auto Insurance
- HomeCare HomeBase experience preferred
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, crawl, squat, or kneel for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, carry, pull, or push up to 100 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Home health or skilled nursing facility experience preferred
- HomeCare HomeBase experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Administers the Occupational Therapy treatment plan as developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Applies concepts of infection control/universal precautions in performing patient care.
- Assure continuity of quality patient care delivered with appropriate documentation.
- Provide effective communication to patient/family, team members and other health care professionals.
- Promote agency philosophy and administrative policies.
