About The Position

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Full-Time Location: Sabine Retirement, Many, LA Company: Diamond Rehab Diamond Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team full-time at Sabine Retirement in Many, Louisiana. We welcome candidates who are licensed, have applied for licensure, or are preparing to apply. Job Summary The COTA works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. This role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and overall quality of life.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current state licensure (or in process) as a COTA
Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
CPR certification (preferred/required)

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans created by the Occupational Therapist
Provide therapeutic activities to enhance motor skills, coordination, strength, and function
Support patients with daily living tasks such as dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility
Observe, document, and report patient progress and responses to treatment
Communicate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist regarding patient status
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive equipment, and daily living strategies
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
Follow all facility policies, safety regulations, and ethical standards
