Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school with an associate degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Certification by the State of Wisconsin to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

Assisting the OTR in performing evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans
Implementing therapeutic activities to improve residents’ strength, mobility, and independence in daily living tasks
Supporting residents with adaptive strategies, equipment use, and fall prevention
Monitoring and documenting residents’ progress accurately
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to achieve therapy goals
Providing education and guidance to residents and staff on safe function and independence
