About The Position

The Occupational Therapist Assistant administers occupational therapy treatment to patients under the direction of and as an assistant to the Occupational Therapist. This role involves working closely with patients to help them improve their ability to perform daily activities and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Requirements

• Graduate from a program for Occupational Therapy Assistants accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
• Possess a valid driver's license with a driving history that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
• Must possess and maintain an Occupational Therapist Assistant License issued by the Oklahoma Medical Board.
• Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintain it throughout employment.

• Experience working in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer occupational therapy treatment to patients under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
