More about our team Located in the heart of Western Oklahoma, Great Plains Regional Medical Center is a 62-bed Joint Commission accredited facility that provides a full continuum of care from acute to intensive. Great Plains Regional Medical Center provides Full Spectrum of Outpatient Therapy Services to Restore Mobility. Whether you’re recovering from a sports injury or medical procedure, our outpatient therapy department offers a comprehensive range of therapeutic options, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology therapy, and sports medicine. How you’ll contribute The Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is responsible for assessing patients’ ability to perform daily living and occupational tasks safely and effectively. Based on the evaluation, the therapist develops and implements individualized plans of care, utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities and techniques. Progress is monitored and documented through subjective and objective measures, with modifications made as necessary. The Occupational Therapist provides education to patients and their families or caregivers regarding functional deficits, adaptive strategies, and the use of assistive equipment. Additionally, the therapist plays a key role in discharge planning and supervises certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians in accordance with state laws and professional standards. Requirements

  • certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree
  • Current and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are rendered
  • CPR certification (when required)
