More about our team Mercy Hospital Pittsburgh ARU unit is a 12 bed inpatient Hospital located in Pittsburgh, KS. With an A grade in hospital safety from the Leapfrog Group, all private rooms and a CMS three-star rating, we help patients feel secure knowing our commitment to their dignity, safety, comfort and recovery. Our ARU Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow! What we’re looking for: We are looking for a dynamic Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) who is passionate about helping others and is a team player! What you will do in this role:

Requirements

  • Licensed and eligible to practice as a COTA in the state where services are rendered.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team.
  • Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in follow-through programs and home exercises.
  • Assist with patient scheduling and post treatment charges to patient records daily.
  • Document patient care accurately and in accordance with all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
  • Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
