An Occupational Therapist (OT) helps individuals across the lifespan develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and working skills needed to live independently. Evaluates and treats physician-referred patients by organizing and conducting occupational therapy programs. Facilitates rehabilitation of the mentally or physically handicapped. Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. Facilitates the learning of skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity, and promotes and maintains health.
