About The Position

The Occupational Therapist provides services for the purpose of promoting health and wellness and to those who have or are at risk for developing an illness, injury, disease, disorder, condition, impairment, disability, activity limitation, or participation restriction. The Occupational Therapist will select methods or strategies to direct the process of interventions, evaluate factors affecting activities of daily living and implements interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living. The Occupational Therapist performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems’ mission, policies and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. The Marshfield Medical Center is a tertiary care center, Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma center and a Primary Stroke Center. This position is in acute care, primarily working with general med/surg patients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.
• Supervised clinical internship(s) working with adult and/or pediatric populations to prepare for professional registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
• Occupational Therapist license awarded by the State of Wisconsin.
• Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Health System’s Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program

Nice To Haves

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy.
• Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
