About The Position

The Occupational Therapist TTWP job conducts evaluations on referred patients. This job plans and implements a comprehensive treatment program that includes discharge planning, patient/family education, and recommendations for follow-up or continued care. This job documents results of the OT evaluation and services provided in accordance with hospital and department guidelines. The Occupational Therapist TTWP job participates as a member of a self-directed departmental team as well as a member of an interdisciplinary patient care team. This job may provide clinical instruction to OT and OTA students as needed. This job may also provide training and education to department and hospital staff.

Requirements

• Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with evaluations and interventions (physical and psycho-social).
• Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
• Successful challenge of the VCUHS Occupational Therapy Clinical Ladder.

Responsibilities

• Interact with the interdisciplinary team and self-directed work team.
• Engage in customer interaction.
