This position provides administrative and clinical support within an assigned clinic unit, maintaining patient records, coordinating patient services, and functioning as a point of contact for medical and nursing staff, patients, and internal and external company contacts. The role includes performing clinical duties such as answering telephones, preparing and filing patient paperwork, and ordering and storing supplies. Additionally, it involves performing occupational medicine services within clinic and onsite locations per department workflow.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or three years equivalent work experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge with ability to learn various programs utilized in the provision of care
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with the public in a positive manner

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and directing patients
  • Relaying information and messages to patients and medical/nursing staff
  • Facilitating communication between Occupational Medicine, Employee Health, and other healthcare providers
  • Maintaining and updating patient health information
  • Assembling, storing, and retrieving patient records
  • Filing test and lab reports within medical records
  • Coordinating patient services by scheduling tests, treatments, and consultations
  • Performing routine testing, sampling, and other technical services to support Occupational Medicine and Employee Health Services
  • Performing hearing and vision screenings, drug testing specimen collection, breath alcohol testing, and blood specimen collections
  • Operating and maintaining sensitive sampling equipment
