About The Position

UnityPoint Health is actively recruiting for an Occupational Medicine Physician to join our team in Ankeny, IA. UnityPoint Health at Work provides a full spectrum of high-quality health care services for employers and their employees. From primary care, occupational health, injury prevention, and health coaching to mental health services, UnityPoint at Work can provide total population health management for employees across the healthcare continuum. Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Occupational Medicine
  • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)

Responsibilities

  • Average patients/day: 18-22
  • No call, weekends, or holidays
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Common visits include: DOT physicals, pre-employment screenings, 411 physicals
  • Do NOT do disability exams
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Provide the best outcome for every patient every time
