Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing ( Bachelor's preferred).
  • Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 2+ years of nursing experience; experience in employee health or management preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to engage teams and drive results.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and manage change effectively.
  • Proficiency in documentation and technology systems .
  • Commitment to service excellence and fostering a culture of safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Employee & Occupational Health Program to promote wellness and reduce absenteeism.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate health systems and programs that meet organizational needs.
  • Investigate and manage workplace exposures, injuries, and hazardous condition reports.
  • Oversee screenings and immunizations , including pre-employment and annual health checks.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure timely communication with payroll and department leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Support accreditation and benchmarking efforts , driving continuous improvement.
  • Provide education and orientation to employees on health and safety best practices.
  • Collaborate across departments and serve on health and safety committees.
  • Act as liaison with legal counsel, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
