About The Position

We are Vista Innovative Solutions, LLC (VIS), a government contracting and consulting firm supporting several federal agencies and military installations across the U.S. VIS is seeking a candidate to provide professional Occupational Health Specialist support to aid in the mission accomplishment of the School of Aerospace Medicine, 711 HPW. What You'll Do: Ability to pull data from multiple sources, to include DOEHRS, Program Maturity Audit System (PMAS), Program Management Review (PMR), and ASIMS, in order to assist in the performance of comprehensive Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH) reviews. This includes; program management reviews/audits, training/education, and data entry. With supervision, the contractor employee(s) shall accomplish in-depth analysis on the data and determine gaps in meeting existing regulatory requirements by researching and assessing policies, guidance, procedures and programs. Design and review courses of action, which will include detailed recommendations of necessary corporate business practices, with the ultimate goal of standardized enterprise wide business practices and accountability measures. Review and/or enter specific data into DOEHRS-IH to correct deficiencies found during OEH program reviews. Data entry should take no more than 5 business days to accomplish. Draft comprehensive OEH program and data review reports that shall include operational and tactical level objectives. Included should be any necessary tools, such as IH Risk Assessment Methodology (IH-RAM) and EH Risk Assessment Methodology (EH-RAM), to perform, document, and track progress to resolve programmatic gaps and ensure sustained program health. Travel 25% each month. What You Bring: Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational/ Environmental Health/Management, or other science Bachelor’s degree (such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Engineering degree). A minimum of 5 years’ of experience using DOEHRS-IH, Business Objects, and performing Health Risk Assessments. Demonstrated experience in computer programming or developing system requirements with prior experience building spreadsheets or databases in Excel. A strong background capturing service members’ exposures to health risks across the spectrum of OEH hazards. This shall include environmental health hazards at garrison and/or deployed locations. A background in managing an installation drinking water program is desired. The contractor employee(s) shall be able to identify gaps and initiate solutions to better characterize health threats from water sources. Comprehensive familiarity in these requirements are desirable and will be considered a strength. Familiarity with the DOEHRS IH-RAM (Risk or Routine Assessment Methodology), Program Maturity Audit System (PMAS), Program Management Review (PMR), and ASIMS to assist in the performance of comprehensive Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH) reviews. Requirements
