The Occupational Health Specialist will assist in maintaining optimum communication and processing of information necessary to support the companies and Midwest Occupational Medicine. Responsibilities include maintaining all scanning for the department and managing referrals, running random drug pools for companies, reporting and tracking drug results, maintaining the database for all companies with reports and end-of-year MIS reporting. Other responsibilities include answering telephone calls including appointment requests, DOT registry, patient check out along with scheduling follow-up appointments, setting up next day visit packets, and communicating with insurance companies for authorization/work comp claim information. Responsible for obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts while supporting and implementing patient safety and other safety practices.
